Our competitions provide a positive opportunity for players to develop their game and experience competition in a fun, friendly and safe environment. Mini Red
Mini Tennis Red is for players aged 8 and under. It’s just like the real game, except it’s played on a smaller court using low compression balls which are 75% slower than a normal ball and small rackets (19” or 21”). This allows players to have long rallies and use a variety of shot types. Competitions are played in a fun team or individual environment and involve short matches using tie-break scoring.
Mini Orange
This is the next step after Mini Tennis Red and is for players aged 8 & 9 yrs of age. It involves low compression balls, which are 50% slower than a normal tennis ball and larger rackets (23-25” depending on the size of the player), but is played on a wider and longer court than at Mini Red level. Competitions are played in a fun team or individual environment and normally involve best of three short tie-breaks.
Mini Green
This is the next step after Mini Tennis Orange and is for players aged 9 & 10 yrs of age. It involves low compression balls which are 25% slower than a normal tennis ball and a larger racket (25-26” depending on the size of the player) and is played on a full size tennis court using a normal net height. Competitions are played in a fun team or individual environment and normally involve short sets.
